    Food safety officials recently conducted inspections at various eateries in Hyderabad after receiving complaints about food adulteration and unhygienic practices. The teams visited restaurants like Rayalaseema Ruchulu, Shah Ghouse, Kamat Hotel, and Sukha Sagara Veg Restaurant.

    During the inspection at Rayalaseema Ruchulu, officials found contaminated maida and tamarind, expired milk, unlabelled cashews, and jowar roti. They also seized Goli soda bottles for not having a manufacturing license. Hygiene issues like a blocked drain and open windows were observed at the restaurant.

    At Shah Ghouse, unlabelled prepared food and hygiene issues like water stagnation were found. Kamat Hotel had unlabelled noodles and tea powder, along with food handlers lacking proper certificates and protective gear. Sukha Sagara Veg Restaurant had mushroom packets without dates and lacked proper kitchen separation.

    The team also visited supermarkets, bakeries, and fast-food outlets like KFC. At Ratnadeep retail store, leaking Cadbury Bournville Dark Chocolates were discovered. Inspections at Jumbo King Burgers, KFC, and Five Star Food Court revealed issues like improper oil quality checks, lack of medical certificates for staff, and hygiene problems like open dustbins.

    Overall, the inspections aimed to ensure food safety and quality standards at various eateries in the city.
