The first day of CUET-UG was successful across India on Wednesday. The test included Chemistry, Biology, English, and General Studies. The exams were conducted in all parts of India except for 258 centers in Delhi. A total of 25,91,014 students took the tests on the first day.
Students had to write multiple tests on the same day. This amounted to 44.71% of the total scheduled slots for students who registered in pen-and-paper mode. The National Testing Agency (NTA) was praised for their planning and execution of such a large-scale exam.
M Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman UGC, commended NTA for successfully conducting CUET-UG. However, tests in Delhi were postponed to May 29 due to unforeseen circumstances. Students in Delhi will receive new admit cards for the rescheduled exams.
