Union Minister and State BJP chief Kishan Reddy criticized the Congress for trying to take credit for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government projects in Telangana. In a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, he pointed out that many of the promises made by the Congress have already been implemented or are in progress.
For example, Kishan Reddy mentioned that funds have been directly deposited into the accounts of Panchayat Raj institutions as per the 73rd and 74th Constitutional amendments since 2022. The Congress promised to do this in their election manifesto, but it has already been happening through the Public Finance Management System.
He also highlighted initiatives like the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and projects such as the South Indian Cultural Centre and ITIR that have been announced by the Centre. Kishan Reddy questioned the need for Congress to make these promises again when they have already been initiated.
Furthermore, Kishan Reddy brought up the Congress’s failure to materialize projects like the ITIR despite being in power from 2008 to 2013. He also mentioned the establishment of a railway manufacturing unit in Kazipet by the Modi government, questioning why Congress is promising to establish a Railway Coach Factory in the same location.
