The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is getting ready for the monsoon season by taking precautions to prevent accidents during heavy rainfall.
GHMC is checking old buildings in the city to make sure they are safe during the rains.
Deputy city planners and assistant city planners have been told to make a plan for dealing with old buildings. They will look for unsafe buildings in their areas.
GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose wants them to do this work and report back by May 18. If they don’t do a good job, they might get in trouble.
Ronald Rose had a meeting with town planning officers to talk about the old buildings. He told them to check the houses and make sure they are safe.
