Doctors in Hyderabad are upset over the suspension of Dr. Shravan Kumar following an incident in Korutla. They plan to protest by wearing black badges while on duty for a week. The Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association (HRDA) strongly condemns the attack on doctors and opposes the actions of the perpetrators. The mob not only assaulted a doctor but also tried to harm him by pouring petrol on him.

According to the HRDA, the police tried to rescue the doctor and medical staff while the attackers attempted to damage an autorickshaw. Despite the trauma suffered by Dr. Shravan Kumar, he was suspended by the Commissionerate of Telangana, Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (VVP). In solidarity with Dr. Shravan Kumar, HRDA is asking all doctors to wear black badges for a week, regardless of whether they work in the government or private sector, until the suspension is revoked.

The HRDA is urging the Telangana government to take legal action against the culprits to prevent future attacks on medical professionals. The Telangana Teaching Government Doctors Association has also criticized the decision to suspend Dr. Shravan without conducting an inquiry into the incident at Korutla Hospital. They warn that if the suspension is not lifted, they will work with other medical associations to come up with a plan of action. This could deter doctors from working in remote areas in the future.
