Heavy rains and gusty winds in Hyderabad on Tuesday caused disruptions in Metro Rail services, leading to irregular train timings and inconvenience for passengers. The Metro saw an increase in ridership as people tried to avoid traffic congestion in the city.
Despite the high demand, passengers at Metro stations faced delays and long lines at token counters. Some passengers even took to social media to express their frustration with the slow-moving trains and crowded conditions inside. Many commuters ended up waiting for extended periods at the Metro stations before eventually opting for alternative modes of transportation like autos.
One passenger mentioned that their usual 15-minute journey took nearly 40 minutes due to the slow pace of the trains during the disruptions. Additionally, ticket vending machines at several metro stations were reported to be out of order, adding to the inconvenience for passengers.
