PCC vice president and Election Management Committee incharge for Malkajgiri constituency, MRG Vinod Reddy, along with other party leaders, warned party members to be on high alert as rival parties like the BJP and BRS may try to create law and order issues in the upcoming week. Vinod emphasized the need for Congress members to stay vigilant as the Lok Sabha polls draw near.
Vinod also mentioned that the provocative statements made by rival leaders could potentially lead to law and order problems, especially with just a week left before the elections. The BJP and BRS might continue with their tactics if they see a chance of gaining some advantage.
The committee, consisting of seven members, has asked the DGP and Chief Electoral Officer to deploy more police in sensitive areas like parts of Hyderabad (Old City), Thungathurthi, Karimnagar, and Medak parliamentary segments. This request comes in response to comments made by leaders like former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Minister Amit Shah, which have been deemed highly provocative and potentially disruptive to the peace.
