A Telangana BJP delegation, led by general secretary G Premender Reddy and secretary Kolli Madhavi, has requested the Election Commission to intervene in incidents of tearing down party banners in Hyderabad. The delegation highlighted the unruly behavior of some miscreants who have been destroying banners, including those erected with permission from the EC and other officials. They suspect that these actions are being carried out with the support of the Congress party.

The BJP leaders mentioned specific instances of hoardings being destroyed near VV Nagar Road in Dilsukhnagar. They expressed concerns that these attacks may spread to other districts if not addressed promptly. The party also raised issues about unauthorized hoardings and banners spreading false narratives about the Union government across the city, particularly in Hyderabad.

Additionally, the BJP delegation accused the police of removing saffron flags that people had hoisted atop their houses during religious festivals like Rama Navami and Hanuman Jayanti. They condemned this intrusion into private and sacred spaces, arguing that individuals should have the right to practice their religion freely without interference.

The party also pointed out a previous complaint against the Speaker of the State Assembly for campaigning for the INC despite EC regulations. They urged the Election Commission to take action against such violations to ensure fair and impartial elections.
