    TS Records Impressive 91.31% Pass Rate in SSC Results

    The performance of Telangana students in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination has improved this year, with an overall pass percentage of 91.31%, compared to 86.60% last year. Nirmal district had the highest pass percentage for the second year in a row at 99.05%.

    Out of the 5,05,813 students who appeared for the exam, 4,91,862 students passed. Telangana State Gurukul Schools achieved the highest pass result in the state at 98.25%. Girls outperformed boys again, with a pass percentage of 93.23% for girls and 89.42% for boys. 3,927 schools had a 100% pass rate, while six schools had a 0% pass rate.

    Many districts in Telangana surpassed the state’s overall pass percentage, with Nirmal and Siddipet having the highest pass percentages. However, Vikarabad district had the lowest pass percentage at 65.10%. Hyderabad district ranked 30th with a pass percentage of 86.76%, showing improvement from last year’s 80.29%.

    A total of 11,606 private students took the exam this year, with a pass percentage of 49.73%. 8,883 students achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 10. The Education department noted an increase in pass percentage compared to previous years and a decrease in schools with a zero pass rate.

    Principal Secretary Burra Venkatesham emphasized that exam results do not determine one’s future and urged students not to make rash decisions. Efforts will be made to improve the performance of students who did not do well in the exams.

    The SSC Advanced Supplementary Examinations are scheduled for June 3 to 13 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Students who failed in one or more subjects must pay the examination fees by May 16. A late fee of Rs 50 can be paid up to two days before the exams. Re-counting or re-verification can be requested within 15 days of results being published by paying Rs 500 per subject to the Director of Government Examinations, Telangana.
