The Telangana High Court issued Notices to various officials and MLAs who defected to the Congress party, directing them to respond by a certain date. The Court also directed the Advocate General to ensure that disqualification petitions reach the Speaker and be acted upon promptly.

The Senior Counsel for the petitioner urged the Court to issue a notice to the Speaker to act on the disqualification petitions quickly, citing previous Supreme Court Judgments. However, the Advocate General argued that the petitions were rushed to court before the Speaker had time to respond.

Another senior counsel informed the Court that Notices had already been issued in a similar case and argued that the writ petition seeking disqualification was not maintainable. The Judge was hearing multiple writ petitions related to defection and disqualification of MLAs.

In a separate case, the High Court dismissed three writ petitions filed by candidates seeking to contest Parliamentary Elections as Independent Candidates. The Court stated that once the election notification has been issued, they cannot interfere with the rejection of nominations and directed the petitioners to file election petitions instead.
