Hyderabad: Congress candidate Waliullah Sameer criticized AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi for seeking votes based on religion. Sameer accused Owaisi of lacking plans or policies for the people of Hyderabad if elected. He made these comments after campaigning in Doodh Bowli and nearby areas.

Sameer promised to bring change and stated that he has been studying the issues faced by Hyderabad residents since 2018. He has come up with solutions, some of which are included in the Congress manifesto. Sameer mentioned initiatives like strengthening the Quli Qutb Shah Urban Development Authority and SETWIN. He also highlighted ongoing projects like the Metro Rail and Musi Riverfront initiated by the Congress government.

The Hyderabad DCC president criticized MIM and BJP representatives for neglecting the needs of the people in the area. Sameer pointed out that despite being represented by one MP, seven MLAs, and 43 corporators from MIM and BJP, there has been little effort to understand the needs of the residents.

Sameer also mentioned that Hyderabad has potential as a tourist destination with attractions like Charminar and Mecca Masjid. However, he claimed that the lack of vision from MIM and BJP leaders has hindered job creation and business opportunities related to tourism in the area.
