Former Dubbaka MLA and BJP Medak Lok Sabha candidate M Raghunandan Rao criticized Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for spreading false information during his visit to Medak. Rao pointed out that the Chief Minister claimed that several prominent institutes in Medak were brought by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, which was not true. He clarified that these institutes were actually established by different leaders at different times.
Rao mentioned that Indira Gandhi had promised to bring a railway line to Medak, but it was only under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government that this promise was fulfilled. The railway line construction started in 2016 and was completed by 2023. Additionally, he highlighted the development of National Highways and other infrastructure projects undertaken by the Centre in the region.
The BJP leader challenged the Chief Minister’s assertion that Medak’s industrialization began with Indira Gandhi and provided jobs. He questioned why former CM KCR was not arrested despite complaints and evidence of misconduct during elections, while also raising concerns about Revanth Reddy’s electoral history.
Raghunandan Rao also objected to being associated with a particular community by the Chief Minister and invited him to visit Dubbaka to see his background firsthand.
