Chief Minister and TPCC chief Revanth Reddy addressed a meeting in Mahbubnagar on Friday to discuss strategies for ensuring the victory of Congress in several Lok Sabha constituencies. The party is focusing on Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Secunderabad, Adilabad, and Zaheerabad where survey reports suggest the saffron party has an advantage. Reddy has prepared a new blueprint to counter this trend and is considering changing some candidates to field stronger leaders.

In Karimnagar, efforts are being made to find a strong leader who can challenge BJP’s former state president Bandi Sanjay. In Nizamabad, the Congress is targeting other dominant communities and SC voters as the BJP and BRS have fielded candidates from the Kapu community. The party is also trying to attract leaders from the BJP and BRS to strengthen its support base in the constituency.

In Secunderabad, the Congress is working to bring back cadre who had previously shifted to BRS and weaken the opposition. With strong contenders like Union Minister G x` of BJP and T Padma Rao of BRS, the party is intensifying its campaign efforts and reaching out to old connections in the BRS and BJP. The TPCC chief has set a target for the Congress to win 14 MP seats in the elections, with confidence in certain constituencies but concerns about others like Zaheerabad where the BJP candidate is considered strong.

Party sources believe that Congress has a good chance of winning seats in Khammam, Nalgonda, Bhongir, Warangal, Peddapalli, Mahbubnagar, Chevella, Malkajgiri, Mahabubabad, and Warangal. However, they acknowledge the strength of BRS in Medak and predict AIMIM will retain its Hyderabad seats. Despite confidence in some areas, the party is working hard to secure victories in all targeted constituencies by strategizing and adapting to the political landscape.
