An awareness program about Sakhi services and stopping child marriage was held with MGNREGS workers in Thimmajipet mandal of Nagar Kurnool district. Sunitha, the coordinator of Nagar Kurnool Sakhi Center, explained how women can use Sakhi services and encouraged them to bravely face any issues. She assured women that the Sakhi Center will support them even without evidence.
To prevent child marriages in villages, Sunitha emphasized the importance of providing toll-free numbers like 100, 181, and 1098 in advance. She also mentioned that psychosocial worker Arshia and others took part in the program.
Overall, the awareness program aimed to educate MGNREGS workers about Sakhi services and the need to eradicate child marriage in Nagar Kurnool district. The participants were encouraged to seek help from Sakhi Center and use toll-free numbers to report any instances of child marriage.
