    BITS Pilani has partnered with Blockchain For Impact (BFI) to boost innovation in healthcare. The collaboration will focus on life sciences and related areas like antimicrobial resistance and cancer research. BFI will provide $600,000 over three years to support research initiatives at BITS Pilani’s campuses in Pilani, Hyderabad, and Goa.

    Sandeep Nailwal, the founder of BFI, stated that the partnership aims to encourage collaboration among researchers, technologists, and innovators to develop new health interventions. Professor V Ramgopal Rao, vice chancellor of BITS Pilani, mentioned that the collaboration will accelerate biomedical innovation and create transformative healthcare solutions.

    Dr. Pooja Agrawal, programme director at BFI, emphasized BITS Pilani’s commitment to translational research and developing healthcare products for the future. The partnership between BFI and BITS Pilani is a significant step towards making India self-sufficient in biomedical research and innovation, benefiting both the Indian population and global communities.
