    On the first day of nominations, a total of 48 nominations were filed by 42 candidates from various parties in Telangana. Former ministers Eatala Rajender, D K Aruna, and ex-MLA M Raghunandan Rao from BJP were among those who filed their nominations.

    BRS candidates will start filing nominations from Friday after receiving B-Forms on Thursday. Party chief and former CM KCR handed over B-Forms to party contestants at Telangana Bhavan.

    Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, also the PCC chief, will begin handing over B-Forms from Friday. He will accompany Mahbubnagar candidate Challa Vamshichand Reddy during the filing of nomination, which will be the first from the ruling party.

    A total of 48 nominations were filed by 42 unique candidates, as informed by the Chief Electoral Officer. The Election Commission has set up a Help Desk at the Returning Officer’s office and identified 51 Assembly segments as expenditure sensitive.

    There are 204 border check-posts, 444 flying squads, and a total of 2.94 lakh employees on election duty with 16 nodal officers and 90 enforcement agencies on the ground. Vikas Raj also mentioned that there were 4,099 MCC violations registered under IPC and Excise Acts, with 105 political advertisements approved by MCMC committees.

    There are 3,31,48,527 voters in the state with a higher enrollment of women voters. The number of polling stations is set to increase, especially in Nagarkurnool and Komarambheem-Asifabad districts. Special arrangements are being made by returning officers for summer mitigation, including adequate shade and attention to vulnerable individuals.
