The District Collector and Election Officer Dasari Harichandana announced that candidates can file nominations from April 18. She spoke at a press conference at the Returning Officer’s office in Nalgonda on Tuesday.
Nominations will be accepted at the Nalgonda Collectorate from April 18 to April 25 between 11 am and 3 pm. Candidates must complete Form 2a with all necessary details. Nominations will not be accepted on holidays.
Candidates can submit up to four sets of nomination papers. Those running in the Lok Sabha elections must provide a security deposit of Rs 25,000 for general candidates and Rs 12,500 for SC and ST candidates. Caste confirmation documents are also required.
Harichandana explained that a bank account at a national bank must be opened for election expenses. Details of the account should be submitted before filing the nomination.
