    Telangana Governor C P Radhakrishnan kicked off the 98th Association of Indian Universities (AIU) national conference of vice chancellors 2024 on Monday. In his speech, Radhakrishnan encouraged students to prepare themselves to compete globally and succeed.

    He praised AIU and the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education University for organizing the conference, noting AIU’s role in advancing knowledge in higher education. He highlighted the Bharat Knowledge System (BKS) as a step toward creating a skilled youth workforce to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

    The Governor expressed optimism that India would become a leading global economy by 2047. Various speakers, including Professor G D Sharma, Professor Pankaj Mittal, Professor Vinay Kumar Pathak, and Professor TG Sitaram, shared insights on conference topics and proceedings. Professor L S Ganesh, vice chancellor of ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, welcomed attendees and launched a book on sustainable goals authored by 78 individuals.

    The three-day ICRAI-hosted conference, running from April 15 to 17, focuses on ‘Higher Education @ 2047’. Over 500 vice chancellors from central, state, and deemed universities are expected to participate, sharing their perspectives on higher education.
