The state government in Hyderabad is working on guidelines for farmers’ loan waiver, Rythu Bharosa, and crop insurance schemes. Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao met with deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to discuss the funds needed for these programs.
Tummala asked lending agencies and banks not to pressure farmers for crop loan repayments. He also instructed officials to prepare fertilizers and seeds in advance for the upcoming monsoon season. Additionally, the minister directed marketing officers to ensure fair prices for food grains at market yards and take action against traders using carbide to ripen fruits.
Furthermore, Tummala emphasized the importance of smooth procurement of various crops like maize, sunflower, gram, and sorghum through Markfed.
