The Telangana State United Teachers’ Federation (TSUTF) has asked the government to clarify rumors about retirement age, which are circulating in the media. There have been reports suggesting that the retirement age for employees will be set at 61 years or after 33 years of service. However, officials from the General Administration Department and Finance Department have stated that they are unaware of any such decision.

The Model Code of Conduct for Parliamentary Elections prohibits the cabinet and officials from making policy decisions, so it is unclear where these rumors are originating from. The TSUTF is concerned that these rumors may be intentionally spread to manipulate employees for electoral gain, causing confusion among them. The federation strongly opposes the idea of limiting service to 33 years and is demanding an immediate explanation from the State government.

The government has denied the rumors about setting the retirement age at either 61 years or after 33 years of service. There is no official proposal or file related to these rumors, and the government is considering taking action against those responsible for spreading false information. It is important not to believe or share such rumors on social media without verifying their accuracy.
