Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), announced that if his party’s alliance with Jana Sena Party (JSP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins the election, they will keep the volunteer system and increase their monthly payment to Rs 10,000. He made this announcement during the Ugadi festivities at the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri.
Naidu assured the volunteers that they don’t need to worry as the system will continue under their government. He emphasized the importance of the volunteers in helping the people and mentioned that they will further strengthen the system if elected.
He also wished the people of Andhra Pradesh prosperity and well-being for Ugadi, stating that after five years of misrule by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, it is time for the state to progress. Naidu urged everyone to come together to defeat the YCP and rebuild the state.
Pointing out the financial challenges faced by the state, Naidu highlighted the high debt of Rs 14 lakh crore and outstanding bills of Rs 1.50 lakh crore. He also mentioned the poor condition of roads that need repairs and stressed the need to increase the real income of the people while promoting wealth creation.
Naidu expressed confidence that the NDA alliance in the state would win the election and form a government in Andhra Pradesh. He explained that the alliance’s main goal is to prevent a split in the anti-incumbency vote.
