Hyderabad: Minister for Excise and Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao revealed that his phone was tapped during a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan. He mentioned that his phone, along with Congress leader Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s phone, was tapped before the Assembly elections.
Rao stated that he had filed a written complaint to the Director General of Police (DGP) at that time, requesting a thorough investigation. However, there was no progress in the case. He emphasized that under the Congress government, those involved in the phone tapping scandal would not be let off easily and should face strict punishment.
Additionally, Rao predicted that BRS would not win any seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and would be completely eliminated in Telangana. He challenged former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao to compare the performance of his government with that of the current Congress government in the upcoming elections.
