In Hyderabad, officials from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a sub inspector and a constable from Madhapur police station accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The sub inspector, named Ranjith, and the constable, Vikram, had asked for the bribe in exchange for completing official work for a person.
After receiving a complaint about the bribery attempt, ACB officers set up a trap and caught Ranjith and Vikram in the act. The two officers were taken to an ACB court and then remanded into judicial custody.
This incident serves as a reminder of the consequences of engaging in corrupt practices, and highlights the importance of reporting such behavior to the appropriate authorities.
