Uncertainty looms over the fate of 1,200 sqft of office space at Gruhakalpa complex in Nampally, as the Telangana Housing Board and former Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud are at odds. The Board terminated the 33-year lease period, citing violations of the agreement terms.

After the latest elections of the Telangana Gazetted Officers (TGOs) Association in February, the new body applied for a fresh lease of the office space. They also requested the Housing Board to take back possession of the building block housing the TGOs office. The new body accused Srinivas Goud of using the top floor for personal use instead of the Association’s activities.

Housing Board officials stated that Srinivas Goud had violated the terms of the agreement regarding the use of the premises, leading to the termination of the lease offer. Despite no outstanding dues, the Board noted a deviation from the original purpose of the space for educational activities under the TGOs’ supervision.

The Housing Board issued two notices to Srinivas Goud to vacate the premises, but he indicated that he would challenge the lease cancellation decision in court. The new association claimed control over the entire space, with plans to allocate two floors to their organization. The sealed third floor still contains furniture and equipment, with a lock dated February 29.
