The State government’s appointment of chairmen for different corporations is being looked into by the Election Commission. Vikas Raj, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), announced that he will consult with the Election Commission of India (ECI) to determine the legality of these appointments.

There has been no public announcement of government orders regarding the appointment of chairmen for 37 corporations. With the election code in effect, the CEO stated that he will seek clarification from the EC on this matter. The commission has developed new software for postal ballots, which includes data on election staff, their EPIC cards, and their preferences.

A total of 3.30 crore voters, including eight lakh new voters, will participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Voters above 85 years old will have the option of home voting. Training for election officials and staff has been completed, with around 1.5 lakh staff members set to be involved in the election process.

Individuals are not allowed to carry cash exceeding Rs 50,000 during the election period. Political parties must obtain permission for rallies and public meetings through the Suvidha App. Complaints can be lodged via the C-Vigil app or by calling 1950.

Following the Assembly elections, seven lakh corrections were made to the voter list. Approximately 34 lakh votes were deleted over a two and a half year period. The commission has identified 9,000 sensitive polling stations and is investigating reasons for low voter turnout in about 5,000 stations.

Malkajgiri is the largest Lok Sabha constituency in the State, while Mahabubabad is the smallest. In addition to the Lok Sabha elections, processes are underway for the Secunderabad Cantonment bypoll and the Council election.
