Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently visited Telangana as part of his campaign for the upcoming parliamentary elections. His visit is seen as a strategic move to secure power for a third term at the Centre, and has energized the State BJP faction, especially in Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Peddapalli.

During Modi’s meeting in Jagtial, there was excitement among BJP leaders, especially with the selection of Gomasa Srinivas as a candidate. Srinivas, who represents the Mehr Netakani social group, recently joined BJP from Congress.

On the other hand, Congress is gearing up to announce candidates for Karimnagar, Nizamabad, and Peddapalli. The Central Election Committee met in Delhi on March 18 to discuss the selection of Congress party MP candidates, with announcements expected soon.

Meanwhile, there are concerns within BRS about recent developments, such as party members leaving and challenges like MLC K Kavitha’s arrest and public response in the joint district. As the parliamentary elections approach, BRS is focusing on how to navigate these challenges and strengthen its position.
