The district Collector BM Santhosh announced that the Election Commission has issued the schedule notification for the Parliament Elections in India. The code of conduct is now in effect throughout the country.
The Notification of election will be released on April 18th, with nominations accepted from April 18th to 25th. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on April 26th, and the final date for withdrawal of nominations is April 29th. The parliament elections are scheduled for May 13th, with the counting on June 4th, 2024.
There are 303 polling stations in Gadwal constituency and 290 polling stations in the Alampur Constituency in the district. A total of 494,945 voters, including 243,353 men, 251,573 women, and 11 transgenders will be exercising their right to vote in Gadwal constituency. In Alampur Constituency, there are 117,997 men, 121,074 women, and 8 transgenders.
The district Collector BM Santhosh has urged the people of the district to follow the guidelines of the Election Commission of India and contribute to the implementation of the code of conduct during the election period.
