Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has expressed regret for trying to mediate between the TDP and the BJP. He admitted this to party workers, saying he regretted his efforts to help the TDP join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) by negotiating with the BJP.

Pawan Kalyan had wanted the BJP to join forces with the TDP-JSP alliance and adjust seat-sharing for the upcoming elections. He had previously mentioned having to humble himself and touch the feet of BJP leaders to convince them to join forces with the TDP.

However, he announced on Thursday that he deeply regretted his actions and vowed never to negotiate on behalf of others again. He expressed disappointment at having to reduce Jana Sena’s share of seats in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly as a result of his mediation efforts.

As a consequence of the negotiations, the TDP reduced the number of seats allotted to Jana Sena from 24 to 21 in the Assembly and from three to two in the Lok Sabha contests.
