Judged by a distinguished panel comprising scientists, architects, and technocrats, the ACREX Hall of Fame Awards recognizes organizations exhibiting exceptional dedication to energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. GHIAL’s victory underscores its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices, reinforcing its position as a frontrunner in the airport sector.
GHIAL’s relentless pursuit of excellence, encapsulated in its ethos of ‘Creating Tomorrow Today’, has set a new industry standard. The airport is an ACI Level 4+ carbon-accredited facility, with a bold commitment to achieve Net zero emissions by 2030. This prestigious accolade reflects GHIAL’s significant contributions towards building a greener, more sustainable future.
The airport’s remarkable achievements extend beyond this recent honor. GHIAL has been recognized as a “National Energy Leader” five times and as an “Excellent Energy Efficiency Unit” on nine occasions by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Additionally, the airport has won the ACI Green Airport Award six times, solidifying its reputation as an industry benchmark for sustainability.
