The public in Ieeja Municipality is asking the government to open the Integrated Veg and Non-Veg Market. Construction on the market began in 2021 under the BRS government and was finished in 2023. The market was inaugurated by the Agriculture and Marketing Minister Niranjan Reddy before the General Assembly elections.

However, due to negligence from Ieeja Municipal officials, the tender process has not been completed. As a result, sellers of fish, mutton, chicken, vegetables, and other daily goods are forced to sell on the main road. This has caused traffic problems and accidents, with some people losing their lives and others getting injured.

The public is urging the government and public representatives to open the new market by assigning shops to street vendors through open auctions. They are also asking the district Collector BM Santhosh to take action to ensure public safety and security by opening the market, which was built with 2 crore rupees of public funds.
