Professor D Ravinder, the vice chancellor of Osmania University, opened a two-day national seminar on Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s vision on Friday. The seminar is organized by the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research Centre (MJPRC) at Osmania University, in collaboration with the BC Welfare Department of Telangana and the Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE).
Dr. Chalamalla Venkateshwarlu, director of MJPRC and BC Cell, explained that the seminar aims to explore Mahatma Jyotiba Phule’s ideologies and their relevance in today’s society. The event will feature discussions and exchanges among scholars to highlight Phule’s principles in promoting inclusive growth and social justice.
Professor D Ravinder touched on the importance of social movements that have brought significant changes to society. He emphasized that these movements have allowed us to enjoy freedoms of speech and thought in our current society.
