BC Welfare and Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar visited Nampally Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple on Wednesday. The temple is affiliated with Vemulawada Sri Rajarajeswara Swamy. Government Whip Adi Srinivas also accompanied him on the visit.
After the visit, Minister Prabhakar criticized MP Bandi Sanjay during a media interaction. He questioned Sanjay’s comments about Lord Ram’s birthplace and accused the BJP of using religious sentiments for political gains. Prabhakar also mentioned that Sanjay made inappropriate remarks about his own mother, who is still alive.
Prabhakar further stated that despite political differences with former Vemulawada MLA Ramesh Babu, he never resorted to personal attacks. He called for Sanjay to focus on discussing his achievements as an MP rather than making empty gestures in front of the media.
The Minister labeled Sanjay as incompetent and called for his resignation as an MP, alleging collusion between Sanjay and another politician, Gangula Kamalakar. Prabhakar also criticized Sanjay’s lack of substantial contributions to the development of Vemulawada Devasthanam.
In conclusion, Prabhakar highlighted the low turnout at a recent political event organized by Sanjay, and accused him of exploiting religious sentiments to win elections without delivering meaningful progress to his constituency over the past five years.
