    On National Science Day, the Department of Basic Science and Humanities at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology held a guest lecture. Professor Abdul Majeed presented the department’s annual report, showcasing its growth and accomplishments.

    Dr. Mahipal Singh Rawat, the college principal, emphasized the importance of supporting students’ talents to help them contribute meaningfully to science and technology. This, he said, would lead to a brighter and more sustainable future.

    Scientist Ravindranadh Bobbili from DMRL Hyderabad gave a talk on the role of machine learning in materials design. He discussed using new software to analyze data for innovative solutions in materials science, highlighting the importance and applications of material systems through case studies.

    The English section organized two events – an inter-department quiz competition called ‘Quizzard’ and ‘Trash to Treasure’, focusing on repurposing and creatively reusing materials. Winners were felicitated, and students showcased their creativity through posters on the theme.

    The guest lecture on Science Day provided valuable insights to students and inspired them to explore the wonders of technology and pursue scientific knowledge. Such events can ignite a passion for science among students.
