The CBI has summoned BRS MLC K Kavitha for questioning in the Delhi liquor policy case on February 26. Officials have issued notices to her to appear and answer questions about the case. Kavitha was previously questioned at her residence in December by two teams for about seven and a half hours. The investigation is looking into allegations that she was involved in paying Rs 100 crore to Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
The ED also questioned Kavitha in Delhi in April last year. Her involvement in the case was mentioned in a remand report, which cited a statement from a businessman named Amit Arora. It is unclear whether Kavitha will attend the upcoming inquiry.
It remains to be seen how the investigation unfolds and what new information may come to light.
