The Mulugu Police Department has made arrangements for the safety and convenience of devotees attending the Telangana Kumbh Mela, “Medaram Jatara,” starting on the 21st of this month. A special mobile app has been developed for devotees attending the Jatara, providing information in Telugu and English.
Traffic arrangements have been made for the 4-day Jatara, including diversions for private vehicles, RTC buses, and other vehicles. Information on routes, parking spaces, and alternative routes has been provided, along with geo-tagged parking locations within a 30 km radius of Medaram.
The app also includes details about parking facilities, RTC buses, train routes, and assistance centers for lost or needing help. Users can report incidents or grievances to the police through the app and receive traffic guidelines and safety instructions.
Even without internet connection or mobile signal, the app can still be used effectively in main areas of the Jatara, providing information on entry/exit points, evacuation routes, emergency contacts, and police updates. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by searching for ‘Guide to Medaram by MulugPolice’.
