Rice millers in Wanaparthy district are increasing their operations to meet their targets of supplying rice to the Food Corporation. A team of vigilance officials is inspecting five rice mills that were booked for irregularities. Some mills have not provided rice even though they received paddy in 2021.

District Collector Tejas Nanda Lal Pawar took action against the negligence of rice millers and got the District Civil Supplies Officer transferred. He held meetings with the Rice Millers Association and warned that action would be taken if the targets were not met by February 29.
