Hyderabad: Minister Konda Surekha, the Minister for Environment, stressed the need for constant efforts to promote greenery. She conducted a review meeting with officials from the Forest Department and discussed the allocation of funds and rare species conservation in her office at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat. In this context, the Minister addressed the media and stated that the details of expenditure and the allocation of funds for afforestation and conservation should be made available online. She also emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough audit of completed projects. As a result of these efforts, officials have released 69.21 crore rupees for afforestation and 43 crore rupees for maintenance works since 2021.
During the review meeting, Minister Surekha emphasized the significance of increasing greenery in the state.
