A team from the Telangana Recognized Schools Owners’ Association TRSMA met with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to discuss the importance of budget private schools in the state. These schools educate about 55% of students and offer quality education at affordable fees. The President of TRSMA reminded the Chief Minister that these schools save the government about 50% of the school budget by having lower costs per student compared to government schools.

During the meeting, the representatives of TRSMA requested support for various initiatives. They asked for training classes for teachers, the establishment of a Development Centre, and the allocation of government land for a building. They stressed that this institution would provide training and research facilities to many teachers in the state. They also requested government recognition for TRUPMA, which represents around ten thousand schools, and for their representatives to have a say in education-related regulations.

The team also proposed several policy changes. They asked for budget private schools to be excluded from the renewal of recognition and for teachers in private schools to be provided with health cards. They also suggested creating a separate category for budget private schools, separate from corporate and international schools. Additionally, they requested training classes for both government and private school teachers and the enactment of a law to protect private schools.

The delegation included various members such as the Chief Secretary, Treasurer, Chief Advisor, and other representatives. The Chief Minister responded positively to their requests, according to the representatives.
