    The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved investment proposals worth Rs. 22,302 crore to establish energy industries in the state. These investments will create around 5,300 jobs.

    At a SIPB meeting chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, JSW Neo Energy Ltd’s proposal to set up four solar power projects across the state was approved. These projects will generate 3,350 MW of power and require an investment of Rs. 12,065 crore. The solar power units will be located in YSR District, Sri Satya Sai District, Anantapuram District, and Nandyala District. They are expected to directly employ 3,300 people.

    JSW will also establish wind power projects in Nandyala District and Kurnool District, with an investment of Rs. 1,287 crore and employment potential for 200 persons.

    Aqua Green Engineering Management Pvt Ltd will set up a 1000 MW solar power unit in Talupula mandal of Sri Satya Sai District, with an investment of Rs. 4,000 crore and employment potential for 1,000 persons.

    Ecoren Energy India Pvt Ltd will establish a 200 MW wind power unit in Kurnool district with an investment of Rs. 1,350 crore and provide 200 jobs.

    Renew Vikram Shakti Pvt Limited will establish 600 MW wind power projects in Sri Satya Sai and Anantapuram districts with an investment of Rs. 3,600 crore and employment potential for 600 persons.

    The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister B. Muthyala Naidu, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath, Minister for Energy, Forests and Environment P. Ramachandra Reddy, IT and Industries Minister G. Amarnath, CS K.S. Jawahar Reddy, and others.
