The budget session of the Assembly in Hyderabad is expected to start in the second week of February. The Congress party has emphasized the importance of implementing 6G in this budget.

During the session, the government may introduce a bill for caste census. This is to determine the population of backward classes (BC) in the state. BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has been assigned to prepare the draft bill. The Chief Minister has instructed officials to study the Bihar model and bills from other states where the census has already begun. The bill aims to benefit all social groups. The Congress party believes that this move will help them in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as BC voters make up more than 66% of the state’s population.
