The All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) holds an Approval Process Stakeholder workshop every year to communicate rules and regulations to institutions. This year, the workshop took place at Tagore Auditorium, Osmania University, and was attended by about 1,000 directors, heads of institutions, and principals from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
B Venkatesam, the principal secretary of Higher Education in Telangana, emphasized the importance of adopting quality standards in technical education. He also highlighted that Telangana is known for its technology advancements. During the workshop, Dr Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman of AICTE, spoke about the important policy changes in the Approval Process for the year 2024-25. He also gave a presentation on the Skill India/Word Skill Initiative.
Overall, the workshop served as a platform for stakeholders in technical education to learn about the latest policies and initiatives and work towards improving the quality of education in the field.
