If you need to lock your house, it is better to inform the local police station about your departure and arrival information.
If you notice any suspicious persons, immediately inform the local police station or call 100. Keep your two-wheelers locked in your compounds and consider using chains for the wheels. It’s also advised to have trusted watchmen and security guards. Install CC cameras inside and at the exit entry routes of your home and monitor them online. Keep your DVR in a secret place.
To avoid attracting criminals, do not allow garbage, milk packets, or newspapers to accumulate in front of your house. Cover locked doors with curtains so that they are not visible to strangers. When you go outside, keep some lights on inside and outside your house. Inform your trusted neighbors to look after your home in your absence.
Avoid keeping keys of almaras, cupboards, and safe lockers at common places such as shoe stands, under pillows, above the almaras, or in dressing table drawers. Criminals often look for cash, valuable jewelry, gold, and silver in a short time. It is advisable to keep valuables in secret places inside your house. Do not disclose your travel plans to anyone except trusted people.
