A Medical Outreach Camp was organized in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, for the retired Veterans of the Indian Armed Forces and their families. The camp provided various specialist treatments such as general medicines, surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, dental, orthopedic, urology, and cardiology. The camp also offered different testing facilities.
Brigadier K Somashankar, SM, Deputy General Officer Commanding of HQ Telangana and Andhra Sub Area, spoke at the event and emphasized that taking care of the Veterans is a top priority for the Indian Army. He expressed gratitude towards the veterans for their service and mentioned that this medical camp in Rajahmundry was the first of its kind.
During the outreach, Veer Naris, the widows of fallen soldiers, were also honored. The event was attended by approximately 425 veterans and their dependents.
