Sonia Gandhi announces her candidacy for LS polls from Khammam

The news is about Congress leader Sonia Gandhi possibly contesting from Khammam. The state party leaders have received information that Sonia will contest from Khammam. The state Congress leaders are making arrangements as suggested by the leadership. In December, TPCC passed a resolution asking Sonia to contest from Telangana and she responded positively. Now, they have clarity on where she will compete. If Sonia contests in Telangana, it is expected to have a positive impact in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, and other ministers will file Sonia’s nomination papers. The state leaders plan to organize a public meeting and invite Sonia during the elections. This will be the second time Sonia will contest from the south, as she previously contested from Bellary in Karnataka and won. By fielding Sonia from Khammam, the party aims to strengthen its presence in the state.
