Speculation is growing about whether the BRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) party will support the YSRCP (Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party) in the upcoming Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh. This speculation comes after the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had a luncheon meeting with BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in Hyderabad.
During the 2019 elections, several BRS ministers, including Talasani Srinivas Yadav, were sent to Andhra Pradesh to support the YSRCP. They held informal meetings with leaders of different communities and campaigned against the TDP (Telugu Desam Party).
While BRS leaders claim that the meeting was just a courtesy call, they will discuss the current political situation in the state and the changing dynamics, including Y S Sharmila joining the Congress party and its potential impact on the AP Assembly elections. The meeting will also address the prospects of various parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Key BRS leaders, including party working president K T Rama Rao, will be present during the meeting between KCR and Jagan.
