Due to the shortage of petrol, online food platforms were also affected. Customers had to cancel their orders, and those who managed to place orders had to wait longer for their food. This was because many gig workers were struggling to find petrol.
On Tuesday, representatives from the All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) met Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla. He reassured them that the provisions of the new law haven’t been implemented yet and that there would be a discussion with AIMTC before implementation.
