Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao is expected to join the campaign trail for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in February. He recently underwent hip replacement surgery and is currently undergoing physiotherapy to aid his recovery. By the end of January, he is expected to be fit enough to walk with the help of a walking stick. KCR will start meeting party leaders from February to discuss election strategies.

In preparation for the elections, the BRS has started organizing preparatory meetings for the 17 Lok Sabha segments from January 3. Key leaders from each constituency will be invited to attend these meetings and discuss strategies to implement in the upcoming elections. KCR will plan election strategies at the party office in Telangana Bhavan.

There is a possibility that KCR will campaign using a walking stick, following the example of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who campaigned successfully with a broken leg during the Assembly elections. Despite the party’s belief that leaders like Priyanka Gandhi will not contest from Telangana, they do not want to take any chances and will make strategies keeping this aspect in mind.
