The Congress government in Hyderabad is working on implementing the six guarantees. They have already provided free transport to women in RTC through the Mahalakshmi scheme, and now they are focusing on implementing the other guarantees quickly. To do this, they have started a public administration program to receive applications from eligible people.
Starting from December 28, officials are going to people’s homes to collect applications. Minister Sridhar Babu, along with Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, announced the arrangements made by the government for this program under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
Sridhar Babu, who is in charge of Rangareddy district and also an IT Minister, held a review meeting with officials at Banjara Bhavan. He explained that in each of the 150 wards in the greater area, four counters will be set up to accept public administration applications.
Each counter will have a team leader and seven members. The government will inform in advance which day the counter will be set up in each neighborhood of the ward. Separate queues will be arranged for women, disabled individuals, and the elderly. Volunteers will be available to help those who need assistance with filling out applications.
If someone is unable to apply on the day of the counter due to unavoidable circumstances, they will have the opportunity to apply until January 6. Additionally, Minister Sridhar Babu mentioned that they are working on designing a special software for receiving online applications.
