Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, the working president of the BRS, helped a woman named Annapurna from Yellandu who was struggling to get monetary assistance for her daughter’s studies. Annapurna had applied four times for help through the Praja Darbar but did not receive any response or information. Despite explaining her financial difficulties and her children’s education problems, she did not find relief at the Praja Darbar.
Annapurna decided to travel to Hyderabad from Yellandu, covering a distance of hundreds of kilometers. She had seen the Praja Darbar’s popularity in newspapers and on TV, which is why she applied multiple times. However, she was only able to submit the applications and did not receive any help. While waiting at the Assembly to meet Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the police kept asking her to leave.
Someone informed Annapurna that she might find justice if she goes to Telangana Bhavan and meets KCR or KTR. Following this advice, she reached Telangana Bhavan and had the opportunity to meet KTR. Annapurna expressed her happiness as KTR immediately listened to her plight and offered financial assistance of Rs one lakh from his personal funds. She was invited to his residence in Banjara Hills where she received the cheque. Annapurna thanked KTR for supporting her daughter’s education and providing financial help to her family.
