Telangana Legislative Affairs Minister, D Sridhar Babu, has described the ‘White Paper’ on the state’s finances as a progress report of the 10-year rule of BRS. He clarified that it was not meant to portray the state in a negative light or suggest that the state budget is in deficit or in a bad financial state. It is simply a report on the progress made during the BRS rule. The Minister also acknowledged that obtaining loans is necessary for any state to progress and stated that the white paper aims to inform the public about the facts. He expressed confidence in taking the state to the top rank in terms of development in India within the next five years.
